Best Vista Game

I am a massive online gaming fan:cool:. Well I used to be. I've not been online since tribes vengeance came out, so I'm way behind you all now lol:cry:.

I'm looking to start gaming again but I have no idea of what games are compatible with vista:confused:. The games I used to enjoy, where S.O.F, Tribes Vengeance, Halo, Far Cry and Need For Speed. I love online gaming/ Multiplayer:p.

Are there any games like these out now:sarc:? What would you recomend? what do you think is the best game out there so far?:eek:

I have a few games installed at the moment, most of them work without any problems at all. (ATI GPU)

works fine:
Crysis, Doom 3, Dawn of War, Duke nukem, Elite force (1 and 2), Ragnarok Online, Gunmetal, Halo, Metal Gear Solid PC, Oni, Steam (and 7 steam games),

has issues:
Supreme Comender, Ragnarok Online 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 PC.

A simple place to find basic specs is under Control Panel/system/Device Manager. might want to familurize yourself with things in here as if there are hardware/driver problems in the future (trust me there always are) then this is a good spot to start. For now you need only to list what you see in others post on here.

Also World in Conflict multilayer is like electronic crack to me.

I have tried at least 25 games on my Vista... I had problems with none [none I could not correct this means]. They included games from 2003-2008. All run fine and smooth [Run as Administrator + XP SP2 compatibility mode does wonders]. My favorite ones include Crysis; Fuel of War; Oblivion; Bioshock and of course The Witcher... looking forward to Conan online; Mass effect [PC]...

Greatest disappointments: Shadowrun [PC, FPS]; Hellgate London; STALKER...

May wanna give Guild Wars a shot - free online play and runs great in vista.. I've bought a total 8 Guild Wars games (the wife loves it to, so had to buy them all twice!) :eek:

Run FarCry, ran it on my system and its brill, I can now see the birds flying around and they are red and blue in color, also saw a drogon fly in the bushes. What a brill game.
Playing it again now. Bioshock - brill, Return to Castle Wolfenstein - works, Gears of War......does NOT work. Tried and Tried and it don't .....work. Call of Duty 4 - works, Splinter Cell double agent - works. Haven't tried any others yet spending to much time on this forum..........

There's something going on in your machine then because I have Gears of War and it works perfectly fine in Home Premium x64 w/ SP1. Maybe your video drivers are old?

Supreme Commander works on my laptop, but won't install on my desktop. I have no idea why, since the computers are damned near identical.

You can also go to Accessories -> System Tools -> System Information.

"Battlefield 2142" I love it and its a good way to waist endless hours.
I enjoy it more when friends of mine play and we squad up. Easily getting 80+ FPS on the titan now.
