Bad Sound

Hi there, I recently got a new pc with vista ultimate 64 bit. At first ofc the audio was one of the last things to worry about, but now it's come to my attention that my old sound card is no longer compatible and not only that, I can't seem to find what make the onboard sound is. I've tried looking around as i've seen a few threads about updating your motherboard and so forth and so on. But to no availability yet. First of all i found this in "System"

It hasn't helped me at all yet but the first clue was to maybe look at realtek hd audio codes. I tried installing the latest driver but it still hasn't done anything, I mean this in the way of it doesn't show the little icon in control panel and it doesn't actually have a user interface to use, But i'm all out of ideas now and wondering if anyone here might be able to help me :), Thanks in advance.

Also, thought i should let you know. By "Bad Sounds" i mean sloppy sound, as if it needs to be updated, For example when i play a game everything sounds...as if it's being ported out in 2 channel instead of my 5.1 surround sound,

Hi A5hm,

Sorry for taking so long to reply :o This site can get busy sometimes ;)

You can find the Audio drivers you need here, they are the ADI audio drivers ;)
