Audigy 2 NX Midi In/Out Won't Work on Vista Home

I have a laptop with Vista Home Version pre-installed. I have a USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX external sound card. I installed the software and then found the Vista driver. When I use Cakewalk Music Creator 4 for XP/Vista, I cannot find a Midi Input or Output. I have an XP machine with Cakewalk Music Creator 3 for XP. There is an Internal Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) sound card on the XP machine. The Midi In and Out work fine. Does Audigy 2 NX not have Midi In/Out capabilities? Does it just not work on Vista? Is there something I need to do with the Software or Driver? The Vista Laptop also has a Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 internal sound card, but I cannot get any Midi In/Out options with Cakewalk Music Creator 4? I'm at the point where I'm going to buy a version of XP Home and wipe out this new Vista Operating system and start from scratch. Any advice would be appreciated. I also have a Roland Sound Canvas from the early 90's I can use for Midi In/Out.
