ATA Controller Problem

Have the following error message on controller

standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360&SUBSYS_82081043&REV_02\4&2212B143&070038

This device cannot start

Error code 10

have tried to disable and enable device....still will not work properly

any help would be appreciated.....thanks

Have you tired going to the device manager, right clicking and selecting up date driver? If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the driver, rebooting and letting windows reinstall it.

You might want to check the cables to see if they are seated good on the drive and if this controller is a card, make sure it is seated good.

If all that fails, you may have a hardware failure (drive, cable or card)
