Application hangs
I have been getting a lot of application crashes lately and I was just wondering if it might be related to the number of processes currently running. There are no set patterns to the crashes and it seems to be pretty much all applications (Windows) being affected. OS is vista home premium SP 1, Toshiba notebook satellite A205.
Average number of processes that run at a given time-70.
Some of the applications that crash are IE7, Avast antivirus, Ewisoft website builder, Microsoft windows optimization tool, Windows live messenger, yahoo suite installer. These have all been reported w/ problem reports and solutions. What are the recommended processes to run at any one given time and how do i determine what process is safe to end? example; syntpstart.exe, igfxtray.exe, ect, ect.
