I've been searching up and down the Internet (and even joined a very rude forum that completely ignored me) for a solution with my DScaler woes in 64-bit Vista.
I'll keep it short and sweet: I have a Hauppauge PVR-150 TV board and I can't get it to work with DScaler 4.1.17 (the version of DScaler that would apparently work with 64-bit OSes). It returns an error of "No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection." when I select the TV board as the source.
Does ANYONE have any insight on this? Because DScaler's forums are down and nowhere else I go seems to want to help me. The TV card works fine in Windows Media Center so I can watch TV on it with no problems. But I need DScaler to play my PS2 and Dreamcast games on my computer (as I have no TV) so I need some sort of solution that either is an alternative to DScaler or maybe some way to get my current configuration to work (as I really hate to have to reinstall Vista x86 AGAIN; I did this before to solve the exact same problem but it was one day before DScaler's team released this supposedly 64-bit compliant version).
Thank you. I'll provide any other info you might need.
But I have x64 and I used VirtualVCR with no problems. I haven't used VirtualVCR in a while because my capture card crapped out on me, but when I was using it, it was great. What do you mean VirtualVCR didn't work? Does it error, does it just close down? Do you have the latest drivers for your tuner card and your other devices? Have the latest Windows updates?
Did you have the latest version of the drivers installed?
Also, should have tried to completely uninstall the driver as described on the drivers page, perhaps something went wrong in the installation you made.
I'd agree if I had more time but I need my computer working in the next two days because I'm going back to school on Saturday and I need to retrieve the data stored on my dad's computer (where I backed it up to) before I go. I've already lost a few days to TS Fay (I've been separated from my PC for the last 2 days) so I just can't afford any more time to tinker with it. Next time I see my computer, I have to reinstall Vista x86.
