Hi all, running Vista 64bit with latest SP.

Just tried installing a new game (Medal of Honor) and it kicked off trying to install Microsoft Visual C++2008 redistributable setup, but I received the following error during the setup:

Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.OpenMP,version="9.0.21022.8",publickeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32"'. Please refer to help and support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070002.

Also the message on screen:

Any ideas please?

OK an update of what i have tried thus far:

Switched off all anti virus/firewalls/anti malware etc. tried to install...same message.

Tried installing the 64 bit version from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx...09-9a8d7548c1b6&displaylang=en

Updated graphics drivers

updated .net framework

Installed from the MS site both Visual C++ 2008 and 2010, both said installed OK.

After all that I tried again and get the same message as the top of page.

Anyone got a fix??

Thanks

PS: I did see one fix on the net, but it required downloading a file and putting it in one of the game files and then entering your game code!...sounded a bit risky as nobody had replied to say it worked!

Thanks :)
