I got an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 Brisbane 2.7GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor. And i was wondering if there was some program that would optimize my duel core efficiency. I got the product from Newegg, so they didn't have anything and i checked AMD's website and they didn't have anything either.
The reason i ask is that it seems that even with my new core (My old one was a Pentium 4) my PC isn't much faster. Like sometimes it can take upwards of 2 minutes to finish loading when i right click on a desktop Icon that i want to delete (More then likely caused by Vista frantically trying to find the file that the shortcut is coupled with)
So yeah, has anyone seen any optimizing programs out there for that particular processor?
