always "run as administrator"?

Is there a way to set Vista Home Premium x64 to, by default, always "run as administrator" when simply double clicking on a application or shortcut? Or, to disable whatever security feature prevents certain applications from running properly, when not ran as administrator?

Hello Zoloft,

You could enable the built-in Administrator account and log on to it for full permission. See warning at link though.

Well, as Brink said, built in admin.

This would NOT be recommended AT ALL, because ANY virus in the system will then have FULL admin right over your WHOLE computer.....

lol well then, I guess I will just have to occasionally, and annoyingly, run the few aps "as administrator" that seem to require it. Certainly don't want any naught virus having free reign.

No need for that. Navigate to Control Panel>User Accounts and Family Safety> User Accounts> Turn User Account controls on or off. There untick the check box, apply and restart to see the changes. Hope this helps

You can also see if you can use Compatibility Mode on the program with Run this program as an administrator checked.
