I installed an update on my Vista Home Premium box and now I cannot boot normally. When I boot off of the Vista DVD and choose the repair option when then asks me if I want to try a system restore. I reply Yes and it has sat at the same screen for over 14 hours trying to repair. I never get the option to perform a System Restore.
If I try to boot normally I receive the following message
!!0xc01a001d 9841/94009 (\Registry\Machine\COMPONENTS\Derived\Data...)
When I attach the hard drive to another machine I can view the contents of the hard drive.
How can I manually remove the most current updates that were installed with the hard drive connected to another machine?
Thank you.
