So I recently decided to dual boot my vista 32 bit with windows 7 two days ago. I created a new partition, allocating 20gb for windows 7 and everything went smoothly during that process and also on the install of Windows 7 itself. When playing around in 7 I opened up some video files on my C drive containing vista. When I logged onto vista it said those files were now corrupt and to run chkdsk. I tried that but chkdsk will not complete, stopping during an insertion into some file. Both 7 and vista are running fine without any problems despite the corrupt files but I just want to delete them as they are recorded games taking up nearly 20 gigs. I have tried everything to get them off from unlocking programs to safe mode to deleting through the command prompt and nothing has succeeded. Somehow my system restore was turned off during something so I do not have a restore point but I did backup all my files on my external hard drive before installing windows seven. What should I do next to get these files off?
