Hi,
I am experiencing an unusual problem with the network bridge facility in windows vista.
My setup is as follows:
[Modem]---[Router]---[Switch]---[PC1]---[PC2]
PC1 is running Vista x86 and has two ethernet ports
PC2 is running Windows XP
When running XP on PC1 I was able to bridge it's two ethernet connections and both PC1 and PC2 could access the LAN and the Internet.
Now with PC1 running vista, with the same network configuration PC2 can access the LAN and Internet just fine but PC1 can only access the LAN
For example with PC1 I can access files share on PC2 as well as other machines connected to the switch, I can even access the modems configuration page but when it comes to trying to access any internet resources such as http, dns and even ping I get nothing.
Has anyone any suggestions as to why this would be happening?
I would be much obliged for any information
