acer 5535 mice issue

I can't seem to hook up any kind of mice and get it to work on my acer 5535, other than the built in mousepad. I keep getting a code 19 error in the driver information, and have unistalled and installed many times, please advise.

Thank you, I will have to refer back to my A+ days to work the BIOS, sounds easier than it is.

Hi,

If you are going into the bios check to see if there is a setting for a USB mouse & activate it if there is.

as an alternative try looking at the system device manager, hidden devices, in particular mice (pointing devices).

Please only do the following if you are sure you have the correct device drivers to hand to re-install if windows does not have them readily available.

Uninstall all the hidden items listed & start again with a known good device you might get some where?
