Hi everyone,

I know this question have being asked by many people but I couldn't find an enough information about this problem on the internet yesterday.

When I wanted to listen to music in Windows Media Player yesterday but it didn't open. I tried several ways to listen to music in Windows Media Player but I couldn't succeed. And It failed "You have had already 11.0.6001.7004, You can't setup 11.0.6001.7000" when I wanted to open it.

I think I must make to reinstall it. How can I reinstall it?

Lets look at this,

Do you click on the music file or media player to listen to music?
If it is an icon is it on your desktop or part of the start menu or rocket dock.
What you need to do is find the path of this icon to ensure you are opening media player and not the install icon, that may have been put on your desktop for installation.

Firstly, thanks for your answer.

The icon of my music files are Windows Media Player's icon.

1. I right-clicked on the anyone music files which have Windows Media Player's icon and then pressed "Properties". It seems "Opens With: Windows Media Player" (together with it's icon)

2. I clicked on Windows Media Player from everywhere. (From desktop, from start menu etc.) It didn't work. It didn't even open.

3. I clicked on my music files from everywhere but Windows Media Player didn't open.

4. When I came to "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player"... when I clicked on the setup file, It failed "You have had already 11.0.6001.7004, You can't setup 11.0.6001.7000"

Also my media player was working until yesterday. I didn't do anything but it is not working today :(
