Solved A program cant be uninstall help please :

Hi,

I have windows vistal ultimate 64bit .
When im going to control panel>programs I see in the programs list on the tope a program something like ~!@$@54534#@!@~!.EXE

Sometimes the program is 8mb sometimes its 763mb when im trying to make for it uninstall im getting a msg that it cant find the uninstall info file or it dosent exist .

I search in my pc a place installed with something that is 763mb or 8mb in the date it show in the programs list 13/11/2008 but none is exist .

I tried to use SpyBot Search and destroyed so it found things but didnt solve anything . I have on my machine nod32 for long time didnt help . I have also Avira AntiVir install it didnt help .
I tried hijackthis posted the log file online to analyze it cleaned what was BAD but it didnt helo either .
I tried to use Adaware 2008 so its found some stuff cleaned but it didnt help .

What else could it be ? I dont understand it . Im sure its a apyware torjan worm or a virus beacuse sometimes its 8mb sometimes 763mb and cant be uninstalled or removed .

Any ideas what else can i do either then format my pc ?

I have attached to this post a picture jpeg picture of my control panel>programs list you can see the program i cant remove on the top list .

Hello Chocolade, and welcome to Vista Forums.

It could also be just a corrupted uninstall entry. You might see if using the free program CCleaner can remove it for you. In CCleaner, click on Tools icon and select that item, then click on Delete Entry.

Monitor your system afterwards, to see if anything else strange like this pops-up.

Thank you it did help i think .
I use Ccleaner and i saw it there so couldnt uninstall it but i could remove it from the list so now its not showing anymore on Control panel>Programs .

Is that mean it was just invalid entry in the programs list ? Or its still exist somewhere ? For now its not listed anymore and thats great .

You're welcome Chocolade.

Most likely it's just a corrupted uninstall entry from a bad program uninstall or install, but I would keep an eye on things and make backups just to be safe.
