It should. The UI is something that Microsoft usually completes near the end of the development cycle. It'll likely look like Vista until the Beta 2-ish stage.

Given all the issues early vista versions had I will prolly stick with vista until windows 7 is proven stable.

Windows 7 is built from the same base-code as Vista, there should be little or no issues with the current software being used or having as many issues as Vista has had hopefully

They removed the Classic Start Menu?? Man I love it though, that is what I use. I don't like the big bulky Vista menu. They better not remove the Classic theme.

I agree that this looks too much like Vista at the moment. There are rumors that says that Windows 7 will be modular : We only install what we want. Example : We can choose or not to install Internet Explorer or Windows Media Player.

Windows 7 screenshots? Now?! Stuff like MS Paint has a ruler / the searchbar is resizeable and such are really not worth mentioning. If this is what Microsoft really is working on right now I'll switch back to Win95! A ruler in MS Paint should be the reason to buy Win7? Imagine the ad: "Windows 7 - now with a ruler in MS Paint!" - (who's using MS Paint anyway?!)

Come on, those screenshots are really lame and a fake. Microsoft said that for the release of Windows7 they don't want to offer any informations. They said that it was counter-productive to have offered that many screenshots and infos about Vista before it's release and the number one reason for its bad start (all surprises and highlights have been shown in detail before it's release).
Maybe this fact is driving some people crazy. Rather talk about Vista SP2! Shouldn't SP2 come out in September this year?

And just the fact that the ability to at least partially configure what programs / items you want installed is going to make it well worth your while....Last I checked Vista did not have that natively....

I forget to mention that last week, There has been no new Windows 7 release since December last year..Its just the original windows 7 with fake screens designed to drive traffic to there site...There's been a few story's about it and how there's been no release to partners and no confirmation from Microsoft like with the original leak release last year

Of course MS wont let "general public" (see) any genuine pics of Win7,until they officially announce a beta,will you Mr Ballmer? :eek:

When it is released,January 30th,2010?,it will be interesting to see what the reaction is.True,everyone? may be starting to think seriously about a x64 system, by then-a lot have already-but with virtualization becoming common place,and Google already a thorn in the side of MS,it will be interesting to see how a hard copy of the OS sells,if you can basically "virtualize" your choice,by installing an alternative OS,with a footprint of 100mb,then "apps" to add to your on-line experience.Or trying a live-disc,and simply using that?

What I am trying to get at is,I hope the Win7 guys have done the math,and do not simply release Vista Mark 2,with a few tweaks,or other alternatives will come back to haunt them.

Nah.MS are too business,and tech savvy to screw up?
