is that too hot?
i've got a little temperature wire sitting on my hdd from my front panel and that is the temp that im getting is it too hot?

If that is accurate then your drive is way too high for a temp. It should be down in the low 30s if not lower.

You may want to look at a few other temp tools to see what those show as well. A few offer drive temps along cpu and even video card temps as well. With several drives after a full day those generally see about 30-31C tops.

i just turned my comp on itz been off for like 4 hours and it is already 37 yikes :| can u recomend any tools?

by the way these are just little temperature cable type things that i have sticky taped to the bottom of the HDD they run to my front panel which has an LCD screen to display it

I used to have one on here that displayed drive temps as well as cpu, system being board, and even the video card. It wasn't PC Wizard 2008, CoreTemp, or SpeedFan. Lately I tried out a few hard drive monitoring sharewares that wouldn't show temps on the downloads.

The one generally used here would be the System Info for Windows or SIW tool being a freeware. Or you can still download the free version of Everest Home edition from Download Everest Home Edition 2.20 - Everest Home Edition - a freeware system information, system diagnostics and benchmarking solution - Softpedia

The SIW tool is available any time at SIW | System Information for Windows by Gabriel Topala

HDD Health is one requiring a system restart as well as Smart Drive being enabled. Flash File Recovery download flash recovery software for Windows

Besides additional cooling for the case if your setup isn't providing a false reading you could consider hard drive coolers. But for drive temps seen that high either your case any air flow or the method used is a bit off.
