Not sure if this is the best place for this , Mods please move it if necc.

I have searched these forums and looked other places online. I am trying to get my Samsung 2443bwx 24" into portrait mode. I have vista home premium 32 bit. Currently I have a 32" lcd as my main monitor and I have the 24" next to it. I have look thoughout the Display settings and see nothing :(. I am cpu n00b so nothing is really easy for me. Thanks for any Help.

Adapter type: Radeon x1300 Series
dell dimension c521
amd atholn 64 processor 3800+ 2.40ghz
2046 mb ram

also: if anybody knows what I will need to do to install a 3rd monitor please let me know. If I do this, it will be another samsung 24" and I will replace the 32" lcd with a samsung/dell 30". Thanks again

Hello mjcace, welcome.

I believe (I know NVidia does this) that if you open up the control panel (from your Video Card manufacturer) there should be a setting for video position. You can change from vertical to horizontal and so on. That should work I hope.

Thanks for the reply. I do not understand exactely what to do. In my control panel, my main spot for adjustment seems to be " personalization/display settings/advanced settings/ and when I go into there I see 4 tabs(adapter/monitor/troubleshoot/color management), I have look throughout all of them. I am sure I am looking in the worng spot or something but if there is any way you can be more specific then maybe I can figure this out.

Thanks again for your help.

You are. ;) Not too worry though. When you installed your video cards drivers, assuming you didn't install them through Windows Update, you should have also installed the Catalyst Control Center, which is where you neeed to go to make that setting change. Right click on an open spot on the desktop and select the CCC from the menu. If it is the first time you have used it it will ask if you want to use it in Basic or Adveanced mode, go for Adveanced. Then once you are there this is where you need to look,

cccrotate.jpg

then just click one the appropriate monitor, then select the rotation from the dropdown.
