2 issues, one a webcamera, the other HP updates

I had the guys at firedog install all the stuff on my computer... they isntalled all the software and I plugged the extra stuff in when i got home. When I finally set up the web camera....I can see my self and can capture a video or pictrure...but it doesnt work with MSN live messneger. i can see them but they cant see me. My screen is grayed out....

I go into settings and it says my signal is 0

I tried all the options for video choices..none work??

anyone?

secondly I constantly get HP updates. i sellect download and they start 3 of them...after a while they each end up saying download failed... I am not doing anything while it was downloading....

I get this almost daily now

any ideads?
