127GB limit in NTFS

I am using a Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 3.0Gb/s 250-GB Hard Drive. About a week after installation of Windows Vista premium 32bit I suddenly noticed that the drive started showing only 127 GB of hard drive space. I am very puzzled by this because I know 48bit LBA is enabled so the 127 GB limit should not apply. Indeed in Disk Management it shows the C partition as 232gb NTFS and populating the drive in the disk properties yields the same size, but a chkdsk run will only read 127gb. I ran Seagate's seatools hard drive diagnostics on the drive for three hours with no errors. I combed through my eventvwr log back to installation and I find no disk errors.
What could be causing this?

Tried the program. Gives an error that says it cannot read the driver and that the hard drive cannot be repaired; most comforting. At least the drive is still working I just can't use 100gb of it.
