Can you please stop creating new topics. All of these questions have been asked in other overlapping topics of yours. You have Flavius helping you with some Windows Update errors. How is it going? Did his suggestions work? Tell him in his thread. You then asked about MSE. We were trying to get it fixed for you. How are my suggestions going? I know you asked some of these question there as well. I will answer them. Please have a little bit of patience.

Your objectives seem to be constantly changing. You keep trying different antivirus software, yet asking us about the previous one. Yes, you still need antivirus even if you have MSE. I shall explain this properly later.

Please choose the antivirus product you would like to use. I would recommend MSE. You now say that they won't install. Any details? If the issue is with MSE and automatic updates, please go back to your original topic. If you want to install MSE, and now cannot for some reason, just post details either here, or there, and we will help you.

If you have question on a topic for which you have not posted a topic, such as installation issues for AVG, then please post specific details here, in this topic, and bear with us.

Thanks so much!

Richard

We are a small crew. You get me on this thread, me on another, or maybe richc46 or Lorien. We are able to help you if you give us details, and give us time. We cannot necessarily fix something in one post, it may take several, and it certainly slows us down if we have to keep repeating the same information, or checking back and forth between threads One problem, one thread. Flavius is a Windows Update expert. He is one of the very best in the world. But even he cannot fix anything if you don't respond, or don't provide details. Can you please choose an antivirus, give us details, give us a few posts, and we can probably get it fixed. Thank you.

No problems! We will deal with AVG here. If you still have Windows Update issues, please go back to the thread with Flavius. Do what he says. Do what I said on your other thread. If there are still issue, dump all Windows Update issues remaining onto Flavius :) (ie stuck and errors)

With AVG, what error message (word-for-word) are you getting? Thanks!

We can have a deeper look for malware later, depending on whether I think that is the right solution.

Thanks!

Wonderful! Thanks for providing that! That is actually relating again to Windows Updates, and errors from such. Run this Microsoft Fix it, and if that does not help, dump it on Flavius: Error code 0x80000FF when you download updates on a Windows Vista-based computer by using Windows Update or Microsoft Update

He will be able to fix it, because all of these problems are really caused by the same thing, and any additional details he will be pleased to note. Try this, and if not tell Flavius as well.

Thanks so much!
