My computer doesn't accept earphones anymore?

Hello,

One thing that I had to ask from you cause I don't have any clue what to do with this problem. Today I tried to listen to music and put on my earphones but everything was numb. When I just listen to music everything seems to be OK but I think my computer doesn't accept earphones any more or something...

Weeks ago everything was OK, but then my computer crashed and I reinstalled Vista. Yesterday I deleted that Windows.old folder too. How can I check that? When I listed music without earphones everything's ok, then I plugged in my earphones and in Control Panel there's like a place where you can test your earphones and when I tested them everything seemed OK. But when I want to listen music with them, they're completely numb :(

It says High Definition Audio Device, I have a laptop and asked my brother, he believes that before Custom Install I had Realtek or something. I actually know nothing about computers so I have no idea, if this is some kind of sound card or what? Do I have to reinstall that Realtek?

Get the latest driver and try that.

also do check under device if there is a sound card listed if there is no sound card listed try to check the exact brand of computer you have and try to check on the internet the specifications of this computer or call the computer manufacturer for the exact sound card also ask for the link where to download the driver.

If they ran the speccy program they would know all we, and they needed to know.
