wireless assiciation failed due to unknown reason

I'm running a Windows Vista 32bit premium on an emachines desktop with a linksys wireless-G PCI Adapter and i recently got a new router in my house. i receive great connection on my laptop and all other computers, but for the desktop i receive very inconsistent connection and usually none at all. It usually recognizes the wireless connection, but whenever i try to connect i get this message:
wireless assiciation failed due to unknown reason

I have re-installed all my adapter and driver files, and can't seem to find the source of the problem.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm not certain why you're having these problems.

It would also help to attach a copy of the IPCONFIG report for one of the working computers as well so we can see if there are any significant differences.

I hope this helps us at least identify the problem and maybe even resolve it. Please post back with results and attachments or with how it was resolved. If the problem persists, we'll try some other means.
