Fix for slow IE

Hi,
I have found a solution for slow IE problem, it made my browsing extreamly faster.
Tools-> manage add-ons-> enable or disable add-ons
under enabled section look for "SSVHelperClass"(java plugin add-on) and highlight then click disable button.
Restart IE and you could see the difference.

Hmmm, I have been an IE user all this time, until recently that is, because IE 6 or 7 used to slow down to a crawlling speed. Ever since then, I moved onto Firefox and now I am hooked on it but, if this works as you say... I may have to go back to it.

Hmmm, I have been an IE user all this time, until recently that is, because IE 6 or 7 used to slow down to a crawlling speed. Ever since then, I moved onto Firefox and now I am hooked on it but, if this works as you say... I may have to go back to it.

This is very interesting, the person who found this fix also looking for an answer to your question.
IE takes approx 30 Seconds to load due to SSVHelper Class : ssvhelper, class, what

ah so its non essential , i have had no problems with IE at all and used all versions , ive disabled it now , if its not essential i dont want it!

I wonder why some have issues and some not??

I couldn't find it on IE8 and only IE6 showed it the way the OP posted it, IE7 was in disguise as Java plugin but not as a helper, at least, as far as I can remember since I have been playing a lot between Vista, Windows 7, IE7, IE8 & Firefox.

I have firefox just the way I like it so I am not to keen on returning to IE 6 but having that slow browsing has always been one of my biggest pet peeves with the internet. Even now that I have Comcast 16 Mbit broadband, the downloads sure are super fast but my internet browsing experience has not changed one bit. I am hoping my new Linksys N Gigabit router will change that... along this little jewel we found here

I've just disabled it in IE8 and it does seem to have made things faster.

It worked for the most part yesterday and this morning but, towards noon time, my IE crawled to its death again so I had to switch back to Firefox... Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!
