Dxdiag doesn't recognize graphics card

A few weeks ago I reinstalled Vista because of some problems. I believe I updated all the drivers, service packs, and directx (I believe). I tried playing a game and an error message appeared, "unable to initialize direct 3D" I've searched around and tried to fix the problem but haven't found anything. Here's the dxdiag system tab:

And here is the display tab, my graphics card does not show up:

Here's a screenshot of the device manager, which gives me code 43:

Here's a screen of GPU-Z:

And Here's a screen of CPU-Z:

If there is anything else you need me to provide, just let me know. I'd really like to get this problem solved. I've reinstalled the video card drivers and it didn't help, I'm thinking it might be a BIOS problem. Any suggestions?

The techpowerUp doesn't display the clock speeds. That may be a problem with the chipset or something in that software.

Did you get your driver from the laptop (notebook) vendors website? I'm assuming it's a laptop since it's a M series indicating a chipset. Drivers from NVIDIA may not be compatible.

Wither 3: I bought the laptop 3 and half years ago from cyberpowerpc.com, I've searched their website and found no info on what I need. I went to Intel's website and tried to find an update, but found nothing.

HowStuffWorks "How BIOS Works" Take a peek at this article and after reading in it, see if you think your BIOS needs to be checked for default or standard settings , from looking at the screen shots posted, it would appear as if you have latest drivers installed and are up to date on Microsoft Vista SP2 updates.

Ok, so I checked all of that out and I'm pretty sure that I need to update my BIOS. I searched around and I found my computer here MSI Global ? Notebook - GX600 under the downloads it has BIOS update to version 3.01, and my current version if you look at the speccy screen I posted earlier is 1.07. Would you agree that updating my BIOS is a good idea? If so, could you explain how or link to an explanation of how to update/flash my BIOS?

Basically, the BIOS drivers will be zipped, extract them, then you want to read the readme file, it will tell you what to do to install, usually it will say to use the Flashexe file . See what the readme file has before you do anything .

I just wanted to mention that, when you buy a computer from CyberPowerPC, you get lifetime technical support. You can call, e-mail or chat with them about this issue. I've found turnaround time on an e-mail to be decent.
