Ive got my system info aswell if you want that? (As in Summary)

My Computer

Okay ive noted down everything that i thought was needed
should i send it to you or what should i do now ive noted everything?

Can you test what happens when you rename this DLL before you start the app:

0b440000 0bc93000 DirectWave_VSTi (export symbols) DirectWave VSTi.dll
Loaded symbol image file: DirectWave VSTi.dll
Image path: C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\DirectWave\DirectWave VSTi.dll

Looking at that hang dump a bit more closely, I think the fault may actually be in that DLL and not the first one I mentioned. If you rename the DLL (doesn't matter what you call it) or temporarily move it elsewhere before starting the app, it will presumably fail to load and you can test to see whether the same hang still happens in the same place. If not - the DLL highlighted in red above is the culprit, and you'd want to either update or remove it.

My Computer

Ok one thing a time lol.

Once youv renamed that dll try and start that programme and see if it runs and no longer hangs, freezes etc.

My Computer

lol
yh it still says its not responding (While starting up)
so shall i download the link u sent me?
and should i keep the file i renamed, renamed?

This test is only valid if you're 100% certain that DLL is unavailable to the app on startup, either because you've renamed it or moved it temporarily to a completely different location. In fact, I'd suggest you try to move it to say c:\NotFound\ and then start the app again.

Personally, I can't see any evidence that your display driver or any other general bit of software is involved in this hang. Based on the dump, it is all down to the app itself and the plug-ins it's loading - most of which are reasonably old.

My Computer

On the base of your laptop there should be a little white sticker with something like Toshiba PA1234U written on it

My Computer

where should i move it to??
Anywhere?

Anywhere except c:, c:\windows, c:\windows\system32...

The simplest thing is to create another folder, say c:\HideInHere, and move it there.

Do you know what installed that "C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\" folder on your machine? Do you run CuBase or any other sound/music editing packages?

My Computer

Erm nope i dont know what installed it but the only other thing i run which is movie editing is Windows Movie Maker

I don't think WMM would have anything to do with that VstPlugins folder. "C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\DirectWave\DirectWave VSTi.dll" is the only DLL that the app has loaded from that location at the time of the hang, so you might even want to temporarily rename VstPlugins (the folder) and then test what happens when you restart the app. For example, rename:

C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\

to

C:\Program Files\X-VstPlugins-X\

Then restart the app - does it still hang on startup?
