Hi:
Whenever I start using Snipping Tool (Vista 64) for the first time after boot, the system gives me this message:
"Snipping Tool is not working right now , .... restart computer...."
Without reboot , I just close this message dialog window and restart the Snipping Tool the second time, it works fine , capture and save images , etc.
...but it is annoying this happens every time after reboot; if I use Snipping Tool the first time after reboot, the same message pops up, subsequent calls to the Snipping Tool works fine.
This pops up all of the sudden. I never got this before , just works even the first time after reboot.
The only thing I did a few days ago was the installation of a network printer . I deleted the printer from the network and uninstalled the driver, didn't help.
I also tried the followings but none of them worked:
1) rolled-back of the registry to the point before installing the printer.
2) used sfc /scannow to fix system files.
3) as some suggested online, killed the Snipping Tool process and restarted it.
4) Used Office diagnostics
5) used virus /rootkit scans
6) replaced it with the original copy of the SnipperTool.exe
7) de-activated firewall.
8) removed Tablet features (thus Snipping tool), etc , then re-activated the Tablet features.
I want to get rid of this annoyance , any help is appreciated.
Regards
