File stuck in print queue solution broke Vista
Hi. I tried the solution in
post 6 of
this thread . It successfully removed the document stuck in my printer's queue. However, upon restarting Windows I get the following messages:
Window Title : Run DLL
Message : Error loading C:|Windows\system32\NvCpl.dll. Specified module not found
Window Title : .NET
Message : Runtime optimization service stopped working and was closed.
I tried to restore my old system, but apparently System Restore was turned off (aside: how the heck did that happen?).
Edit : I also looked for NvCpl.dll in my Recycle Bin, but it's not there.
Edit : I have an SSD, so cannot use a file recovery program.
Any advice on how to fix? Is my system broken or can I at least keep working until NvCpl is fixed?
TY.

Thanks. That fixed the NvCpl.dll error.
I still have the .NET error.

More than likely you don't need that service and can disable it if you want to.

How do I do that? I looked in Services, but do not find anything called 'Runtime Optimization' service.

I think it might be ASP.net runtime optimization service. You might also try under msconfig.
