It never rains but pours. Okay was in the process of shutting down my case to let everything cool down ready for a new SSD, and a reapplication of thermal paste (CPU heat issues).
My boot up sequence is CD/DVD, CD/DVD (I have 2 roms), HHD last.
To ensure everything was ready, I threw in my Vista Install Disk and my Macrium RMB Disk rebooted.
It DIDN'T give me the option (always has) to boot from CD/DVD, shut it down mid flight (cold boot).
Went into the BIOS to double check the boot order it was correct CD/DVD, CD/DVD, HDD. Rebooted again.
Rom's are not being shown during the startup so I once again cold booted it.
This time I reset the BIOS back to it's default settings, rebooted, so far so good, the Gigabyte Logo shows up on the boot up (normally this is off).
I go into back into the BIOS to change the boot menu, so that it reads my Rom first, second and HDD last.
Reboot
Once again my Rom's are not showining, but this time I let it continue to boot, only to be met with a winload.exe error.
Normally this would not be a problem, throw in the Vista Disk boot and repair. BUT MY DAMN TOWER ISN'T PICKING UP MY OPTICAL DRIVES!!!!!!!!!!!.
I am now totally at a loss as to how to get around this.
I should mention that after loading the default BIOS. both optical and both HDD's are showing, in the BIOS with the correct information about all of them.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
