i've been missing the open with... submenu

i've been missing the open with... submenu for a few months now (the one shown in the first picture). i've managed without it, but i'd really like to get it back. any body have ideas or that can help?

in the above image, see where it says "Open With" in the main right click menu? and it has a submenu with recently used programs to open a file with. THAT is the menu i am missing.

Hi, I had a similar problem some weeks ago, thought that was the link, sorry.
Similar, but I wanted to delete itms from @Open with'.

The excellent advice from whs worked, i deleted the item, but I was also able tro Add items of my choice.
So maybe this would work for you in adding items you require.

Type shell:sendto into Start/search and hit Enter. In the folder that comes up delete what you do not want. Close the folder - done.
