Vista Windows Mail 6.0 shows new emails as read (un bolded)

How do make my new emails bold in vista mail? I have not made any changes I just re-installed vista and new mail account.

The mail has not be read or moused over. IMAP account. I have searched and read every post I could on the forum but it seems that they all come to a dead end with no resolution. I hope there is one. Please help if anyone know how to fix this.

richc46, thanks for the assistance. I just now got this message in the general forum, when I posted it in the Browser and Mail forum. Maybe I wasn't supposed to post it there??

Anyway. I read the info on customizing the view in Windows mail. It doesent seem to offer a solution to my problem.

You know how most any email web server or client receives mail? And when it arrives it is bold, indicating it is a "new" mail. Then when you click it it "unbolds" indicating it has been read.

This is my problem. With a newly installed OS, and mail service, with no options tweaked...my arriving new mail is all unbolded.

Isn't the bolding (indication) of new mails just a reguar builr in feature? My other computers use the same mail program and show up as bold, so I thought there may be a feature to enable or disable (not creating rules which I have tried and didn't work either).

If not to any or most of these questions, then I will just switch ro TB.
