Solved January 2014 Update Tuesday - First Time Ever Vista Only Received 1 Update

Yes, as the header says, on my Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 with Office 2010 (complete), the only update offered by Microsoft Updates was the monthly MSRT. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before.
By contrast my Win 7 Ult SP1 and Windows 8.1 Pro w/MC received approximately 9 updates each give or take a couple, and a friend who still insists XP is the way to go despite my advice got quite a lot of updates too.
The latter doesn't surprise me, as I am sure Microsoft are rushing to patch XP the best they can before its EOL on 8 April this year.
Anyone else who only got 1 solitary update in Vista?

yesterday I got 2 office 07 updates and MES definitions update. It did seem a little "light." There is another MSE definition update today. I can't explain that.

Pretty bad when a guy goes into withdrawals because of the lack of a plethora of Windows updates.
