Tied removing it and WU immediately offered it again, what gives? I thought they'd withdrawn it?
Anyone else with this experience?
Mind you I haven't had any of the problems mentioned so am leaving it as is for now at least.

Yes of course I know that but I interpreted the bulletin from MS to say they'd withdrawn the update, hence my query why it was being offered again.
I posted the question on Technet Forums and thus far it's been ignored.

MS, Lol. Just another mistake, I would imagine. I just checked for updates and I was not offered it, again.

Ah. That was yesterday when I tried, so I'll try it again today. Maybe they were just slow off the mark withdrawing it. Thanks.
You say it's for Vista as well as 7 right? I wonder why the article doesn't reflect that?

Before posting to this Forum, I checked online. Most sites mention just Seven, but a few mention Vista, also. Could it be that as far as many are concerned Vista has already gone the way of XP?

Perhaps a few people are experiencing similar issues and blaming this update rightly or wrongly? MS specifically states it's only for 7 and ilk.
I can't find anything on their website mentioning it applies to Vista.

..and that could be extended to any Windows OS at a stretch....however I notice that 8 never got that update anyway.
Well as I'm not getting any issues in any of my OS's I think I'll leave this one as is.
Hope your issues are OK now.
Thanks.

I have that update installed in Vista 64 bit SP2 and haven't had any problems.
Richard indirectly solved something for me. There are these optional updates that I don't want to install and sometimes Vista tries to install them without asking me (I don't have it automatically install updates). Never could figure out how to get rid of them. Thanks Richard.
