I am attaching CheckSUR.persist.log file afte running System Update Readiness Tool.

I am using Windows Visa Home Basic.

Appreciate help.

I bought this laptop with OS installed and don't have Windows inlation CD.

Is there any other option?

Did you make a set of recovery discs ?

If no, call you computer manufacturer, ask for a set. The cost is minimal.
At the same time, ask the tech if there is a recovery partition set up in your computer.
They know the answer because they are the ones who would do that, not Microsoft.
If answer is yes, ask the tech to show you how to access to the Recovery Partition and how to use it.

Adding to my above reply ......

Before you do the recovery, backup everthing you want to keep.
Everything will be wiped clean after the system recovery. Your computer will be, in essence, returned to factory settings, just like it comes out from the box.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Here is how to make your restore disks and it is better to use DVD's then you only need 3 if you use plain CD's you will need about 15 of them.

You can print these so you can read from them while you are repairing your system.
