Solved Slipstreaming vista with service packs.

Am sorry guys if i posted in wrong group.
I've been interested in Slipstreaming my vista Dvd with it's service pack within a single installation disk but a tool for doing this job better is what am asking. Is there another tool to do this apart from vlite which does not require installation of WAIK?

Sorry for the late reply. Basically not. vLite is the best tool available, and it causes many issues down the road. WAIK is the only safe way, but I know how long it takes. I personally don't bother to slipstream.

Instead, I keep a WSUS Offline repository which I re-update every month or so. Massive download to start with, but then only the changes are downloaded. Basically this tool downloads all of the installers now, you install from the old disk, and then update from this tool. WSUS Offline Update - Update Microsoft Windows and Office without an Internet connection

Is it worth it? Probably not.

Thanks Rich for your reply. As i write this vlite is compiling the last image of vista which has taken 4 hours. I never downloaded WAIK but i managed to get driver (wimgapi.dll) that was required for vlite to run.

You can ring MS and they will ship you a dvd with sp2 slipstreamed onto it. Can't remember the number tho

hi it will be very much ok when you mail (removed) me that number so that i try calling them for service pack 2.
