All,
After downloading the 12/12 updates, my computer started to blue screen.
This started with my monitor flickering then proceeded to squirrely lines everywhere and then the "lovely" blue screen came up and shut the system down!!
A got an error message that said Graphics driver stopped working. I have NVidia 9000 series.
After a couple of days of trying to resolve this without a properly functioning monitor and the system crashing during attempted Restores (NOT EASY) . . . I finally realized that this started occurring after the updates. Sooo, I was finally able to restore the system to a date previous to the updates. Guess what? Monitor/graphics are now fine - hmm?
However, after this, I created a manual Restore Point. Primarily for testing purposes. When I went to restore to this point, system would not restore successfully.
I have two issues:
1. I'm thinking something is messed up because I cannot perform a proper Restore now.
2. My computer doesn't have the latest updates and I am afraid to download them.
Can anyone please offer any insight and/or guidance? I'm thinking there is a bug in one of the updates that needs to be brought to Microsoft's attention.
P.S. At least one other user is having an issue too.
Thanks for your help.
Meltie
