my computer will start then while loading if it will hard freeze, if i press any icons it will hard freeze, and i have to press the reset button. for some reason this makes everything run fine till i shut down then it starts all over again. so for clarity its every other boot. i was running fine till i had to reinstall windows, the fresh install ran fine then i reinstalled all of the windows vista updates and this problem started. didn't even get the drivers installed yet. it seems like i remember at june or july of last year (2009) there was a security update introduced that if installed on my hardware would cause erroneous freezes and i am assuming that i have reinstalled it, but i can not remember what update it was. has anyone else heard of this?
btw this is a contiuation of another post that was left dangling here it is if anyone wants to take a look
