Vista update KB951847 error code 80073712

I tried to install Windows Vista Update Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86 for several times. But everytime I try, I got an error code 80073712.
My system is Windows Vista Business 32bit.
Can anyone give a suggestion? Thanks.

Hi,

Run everything in Flavius' general Windows Update Problem post:

"Try these things:

1.Reset WU components in aggressive mode How do I reset Windows Update components?
2.Reset WU libraries Repair & Fix Windows Updates with Fix WU Utility | The Windows Club
3.Reinstall WU Agent How to obtain the latest version of the Windows Update Agent to help manage updates on a computer
4.Try install updates from Microsoft Download Center (not from Windows Update)

If above things don't help then follow below:

1.Run cmd.exe with admin rights (right click on cmd.exe as admin) and type:

"sfc /scannow"

2.Run Readiness Tool Description of the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista, for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7, and for Windows Server 2008 R2

Next, pack all files from "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS" folder and attach to your next post, if files are too big to attach here, upload them on RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting"
