blank list in "Select updates to install" Windows Update

hi,
I noticed that when some Windows Updates arrive the list in "Select updates to install" is blank! See the attached screenshot. What to do?
After system restart the list comes back but after next Updates it vanished.
OS: Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit, SP1

Install SP2 standalone version and all hotfixes.If it don't help

I don't need SP2. I installed all Windows hotfixes. the lack of list of updates is from a time (brak wyświetlania listy jest od niedawna, wcześniej nie miałem z tym kłopotu)
