search lost etc.

update failed and after rollback I cannot search anymore. Also shortcuts etc. are lost. Updates are not possible anymore. ( error code 80070005 )

Any help?

This error addressed to trouble with permissions or restrictions.Infection also is possible.Try reset permissions by using MS Fix How do I restore security settings to the default settings? (although this tool don't reset all permissions)
