Hi,
Can anyone assist please?
I've just bought a new Acer aspire desktop running Vista. It comes with a trial of Windows Office 2007 and Works 8 which needs a disc to finish the installation. (No disc was supplied).
Windows update has advised that there are 13 important updates for Office and 1 for Works 8.
I don't intend to use the trial of Office (I've installed Openoffice ) and will utimately uninstall it so do I really need to install these updates? Will it make any difference to anything if I do install them?
I'd like to use Works but I only have the disc from my old PC which ran XP so I don't know whether this will run on this machine and with the setup already pre loaded, so if I install the update for Works 8 will this affect anything?
Oh how I wish they wouldn't pre-install stuff like this as I'm never 100% confident about removing anything pre-installed!
