No updates for almost a month

I just registered to receive emails from Microsoft whenever updates are released. Maybe then I can see if I am not receiving them for some reason.

You might check how your updating is set up

and make sure you have the latest version of WUAgent

You might check how your updating is set up

and make sure you have the latest version of WUAgent

SIW2, thanks for the response. I did double check and WUAgent is the current version. I have automatic updates set to download and notify me before installing. I have manually checked for updates in Windows Update and it checks and says all is up to date. Must be fine. I have subscribed today to the Windows Update Notifications via email and will see if I receive updates when I receive emails. I guess I am used to WinXP which received a lot more updates. Then there is my Linux box which has updates daily

Check what updates you have had right now - I have had 4 Defender updates since 9/12 , all labelled
KB915597 - the latest one received today . ( I have 64bit, if that makes any difference. Definitions are 1.45.124.0, 1.43.801.0, 1.43.702.0, 1.43.537.0. )

I have Defender disabled (I use Windows Live One Care). I am only guessing that since it is disabled, I am not receiving updates for it. I have an update for it in August before disabling Defender.

SIW2, wouldn't you know it. I received an update today
indows Live Photo Gallery (KB946486). Figures, the day after I ask this question, I receive an update.
