Solved System Tray Notification
I have a popup problem once again. Each morning I get a notice from the system tray about a blocked program...WinPatrol Change Detection. I have WinPatrol Plus installed but it's been over a year since I had this similar problem and can't remember what I did to stop it. This is what it looks like...

Sorry that it took so long for a reply, there is no need to post uncomplimentary remarks, however. A lot of the views are from non members that cannot reply, but are looking for help by reading the posts given to others.
That being said, allow me to try and help. If you boot in clean boot mode, and the problem is no longer present, you
can determine the source of the problem, restoring the programs one by one and testing each time for the problem. Hope this helps

If the problem is actually caused by Win Patrol, try setting Win Patrol for a delayed start rather than a start up at boot.

My apologies. Things have been aggravating all the way around and it boiled over to the computer. I've had vascular problems and can't sleep at night more than a couple hours for a week as my foot goes to sleep when I lay down, burns and tingles due to artery blockage. Not anyone's problem but may have been part of the reason for my demeanor.

You can create a start-up Task in "Task Scheduler" for the program and it should bypass Defender.

You can remove winpatrol or change it's settings so that it doesn't alert you about block programs.

WinPatrol is not the one that's doing the blocking, it's Windows that's blocking WinPatrol Background Change Monitor.

Yes, but got a little stymied when I got to Program/Script. I'll have to wait till I shut down again to see if it works.
That didn't seem to work.
