this web site pops up and i can't get rid of it unless i use my taskkill program. it has a few differt names the last one is lab.department .net . no www. . theres an ip address on web page .ip 71.188.77.151 .

You have a malware infection.
Please download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware FREE - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM PRO' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

Delete everything it finds

In addition to the above note that Malwarebytes Free can be installed, updated and run all in "Safe Mode with Networking" if necessary. (To keep it free do NOT accept the free trial offer).

With ransomware which this probably is the best escape is at first hint of trouble hard power off, because any mouse click or movement or keyboard click will activate it and basically you are doomed. The only solution is to format and reinstall the system as paying the ransom rarely works.

Then reboot into Safe Mode and hope that System Restore will work to take you back to before it happened.

Best support for this kind of thing can be found on the specialist malware removal forums such as BleepingComputer etc.

to noeldp.going to download mab and up date will run thi tommorow morning. will let you results. thanks for your response.to EX_BRIT i can usally get rid of this by bringing up my free taskkill program and right clicking on the ie exploer sites the are listed if i hit the right one it goes away other wise i just leave it the till i'm done browsing for the night. i'll try the mab procedure first .your s might take to long .know nothing about reformating or reinstall.what is this thing is it a scam or what .thanks again for your response .be back tommorow afternoon.

for now i ran the quick scan i will read the removal later .i'll pst tommorow try to night to runn full scan .short scan found things so i deleted them. thanks for quick response.

thanks for response. removal guide for this problem is way out of my leauge .so i will use my taskkill program and mab to clean things up when i need to.if theres anything easier i'll be watching..

I would strongly recommend the removal guide. Simply follow each step and you should be OK. A task killer may stop it but not necessarily remove it.

i might try that removal procedure. but again last night i forgot to run full mab full scan . i'll try again tonight then let you know of it. it says please print these instructions. well i don't have a printer to begin with.also i don't have usb exteranal bootable drive.as of this my computer runs just fine. until next post.
