Solved Ad-aware update wants me to remove AVG 2012 paid

I went to install the newest update for Ad-Aware anti-data miner cookie software.

It didn't like AVG 2012 already on my computer, said it was incompatible.

Is there a way to just install the data miner cookie removal part of Ad-Aware, or is there another data miner cookie remover I can install ?

I have ccleaner on my cmoputer.

Any replacement suggestions ? My computer is slowing down as each day goes by. No viruses no trojans, so it has to be data miner cookies.

I'd get brid of the ad-aware. AVG does both basically now doesn't it?

You could try Microsoft security essentials. Its just a AV as far as I know.

Ad-Aware has been bloated since 2006 - I wouldn't install it on any of my PC's since then.
AVG is unfortunately going the same way - I no longer recommend it.
I'm not at all surprised that they may conflict.

I have removed ad-aware. I got tired of the 'ad-aware has stopped working' messages.
