2 days ago, I had the Security Shield virus and thought I had a clean PC. Ran a Quick scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and found nothing, then to be sure, I ran the full scan and had two detected items: Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.Z1 and Exploit:Java/CVE-2010-0840.OG. Both were removed.
I tried to delete the two files listed and could not. I am not sure I understand the directions to Allow and Apply as stated in the above paragraph. Please help and tell me what to do to be rid of this/these virus(es).
Also, below the detected items window of MSE under category: Exploit, I had the following information:
Description: This program is dangerous and exploits the computer on which it is run.
Recommended action: Remove this software immediately.
Security Essentials detected programs that may compromise your privacy or damage your computer. You can still access the files that these programs use without removing them (not recommended). To access these files, select the Allow action and click Apply actions. If this option is not available, log on as administrator or ask the security administrator for help.

Since it's in your Internet Explorer temp files, then it's most likely malicious java advertisement. See if deleting your browsing history with Temporary Internet Files checked using a tutorial below or with CCleaner can get rid of it for you, then scan again to make sure.
Did that to get rid of Security Shield virus. These two were in my Temporary Internet Files and as Brink suggested, I deleted my browsing history for IE7 & IE8 and it got rid of the rest. Thanks for your reply.
