Hello all,
I have a dual boot config with Windows Vista and Windows 7. Sometime back, while working on Vista, my computer crashed and shut down automatically. When I tried to restart, it went automatically to Startup Repair (no option for going in to Safe mode).
After taking ages there, it said, problem could not be fixed automatically, and then gave me a dialog box with various options ranging from system restore to complete wipeout. Obviously not preferring the wipeout method, I tried everything else (startup repair again, system restore) but nothing works. System was unable to restore to any earlier restore point when it was working fine. and Startup repair always says the same thing - cannot be done automatically.
In the details section, it says (amongst many other things, this was the only one that made some sense to me) - "Missing OSLoader"
What does this mean? How do I fix this without losing all my data and work? Is there any way around this without a complete format and reintall?
