Trying to get "AMD Overdrive" to run on my computer. No matter how many times I try to add permissions under the main exe, I get "AOD failed to start. Please make sure run it as administrator." It doesnt matter if I shift+right click and "run as" administrator. Anyone know of a thing that could be keeping me? Been trying to get it to work for a week or 2, so any suggestions would be most welcome

Welcome to the forum.
You might try putting the program in XP SP2 Compatibility Mode to see if it will run better. If not, just uncheck it. See:

Thank you for the suggestion, but it did not work under any of the compatibility modes. But I will try and run it under another account, and force the "administrator" account somehow instead of my "username" administrator account with "run as". It never asks for a username/password when I do "run as" so I will assume it is defaulting to "username" administrator account as administrator instead of "administrator". Hope that makes sense, but it is the only logical thing I can think of. I would think that the built in administrator has more power then a user created one.

You might try contacting AMD support to see what they say to.

If you do a google search for AMD overdrive 2.10, download it and install. It cured the problem for me.

At least it did not give me the administrator error.
