No sound on Vista Home Premium (32 bit)

I unplugged my sound cord and the USB cord from the motherboard recently. After putting the cords back, I have no sound. My sound worked before but now not.

I installed the driver again but in vain. My motherboard is ASUS P5KPL-CM, and my audio is VIA. On the audio manager, tit seems it is not detecting my cord on the back panel. However, it is detecting my speaker as default audio supply, the volume is 100, and when I play something, it does work, but no sound.

Help!

Did you find your sound card in Device Manager?

Try right clicking your sound icon on the bottom-right and selecting Playback Devices. Then play something on your computer and see if the indicator reacts.

Sorry, I don't think I can help because I disabled my audio device in the process and cannot enable it now.

Never mind, fixed now. Did you uninstall your driver when you reinstalled your driver?
