Every time I reboot my computer my volume balance (Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback -> Speaker Properties -> Levels -> Play Control -> Balance) resets (I need to change it because for some reason my speakers have very different volumes so I need to adjust them) along with my microphone boost. I'm running Vista x64 Ultimate with SP 1 and my sound card is a Creative SB X-Fi XtremeGamer with the latest (2.18.0004) drivers.
It'd be great if this could be prevented, but I'd also be satisfied with a solution that involves a program or something that automatically sets the mic boost and balance to the levels I want (maybe a .reg file) which I could just put in autostart.
Any help is appreciated.
